Sublimation materials: blanks for any souvenir

This section lists 144 blanks that are neither tableware nor textiles, yet they make up much of a souvenir workshop's range. Every blank carries a coating suitable for sublimation printing, so after heat transfer the image stays bright and durable.

How to choose sublimation materials

Start by deciding what you are going to produce and what it will cost your customer. Price guides from the catalogue:

• Puzzles. From 27.78 UAH for A5 (80 pieces) to 96.00 UAH for a pearl A3 with 200 pieces. Heart-shaped puzzles and magnetic A4 and A5 versions are available too.
• Mouse pads. A 3 mm thick heart-shaped pad costs 40.85 UAH.
• Photo stones. Rectangular 15x20 cm (169.94 UAH) and 20x30 cm (250.00 UAH). A striking gift for an anniversary or a wedding.
• Clocks. 20x20 cm with matte or mirror glass, 30x16 cm, or round 20 cm; prices range from about 150 to 230 UAH.
• Small souvenirs. Magnets, medals, pens and badges are the best choice for large runs with low unit cost.

Pay attention to the image size, the surface type (matte, glossy, mirror, pearl) and the shape, because they affect the layout and heat press settings. The principle is the same for all: the design is printed as a mirror image on sublimation paper and transferred to the blank at about 180-200 °C. A flat heat press suits flat items, while mugs need a dedicated press.
